        This desk pad looks much better in person than in the picture. [...] Very impressive. It has a nice felt bottom to protect the surface of the desk, though it does slip and move slightly since it doesn't grip the desk surface as well. But the leather and the feel of the product is fantastic. I wish it came with a sheet of blotter paper, since finding blotter paper in this size could be a problem. Other than that, I look forward to many years of using this desk pad.

                Q1: Is this pad is made of anything other than leather?

                A: Possibly a felt bottom cover? What is the body of the pad made of, other than the leather? Yes the writing surface of the pad is made using leatherette. This makes it more durable to spills and ware. The bottom has black felt.
